tsunagu(つなぐ)から譲り受けた、嫁入り道具の桐箪笥。
そこには、それぞれの家の想い、願いが込められています。
私は、そんな桐箪笥に眠る怪モノを描くことで、古材に新たな物語を紡ぎ、命を吹き込んでいます。
In Japan, there is a custom of sending paulownia chests from parents to their children as wedding gifts.
Each chest is filled with the wishes of the family and their children.
By drawing the kemono lying in such paulownia chests, I weave a new story into the old wood and breathe life into it.
